This Iron (Sarabloh) Sipi Or Spatula Or khurpa Or khurchana is 16 Inches long.
The actual spatula head is 3 Inches wide and 3 Inches in height.
The wooden handle is 5 inches long and 1 inch wide which has been painted with an attractive red color. The wooden coating helps prevent the heat to reach your hands.
The rod between the handle and spatula head is 8 Inches long and 0.7 cm thick.
The main purpose of this utensil is to mix, spread and lift food items or preparing chapatis or Flour roti or bread.
Iron (Punjabi: Sarabloh) is a preferred metal to use for utensils in Sikhism. It is believed that it helps reduce Iron deficiency in one’s body.
Since it is made of Iron and buffed with Silver color coating Or it is prone to get rusty over time, unless taken care of. Put some oil on it to create a layer between the surface and open air.
If any rust is found over time on this Spatula, it is Preferred to use Lemon syrup or Sand to rub for few times to clean it.
After wards apply a small amount of coconut oil to provide shiny look. This will act as Anti-corrosive.
Preferred for preparation of chappatis or flour roti or bread when prepared on hot Iron surface.
