The Larger Iron (Sarabloh) Sipi or Spatula Or khurpa or khurchana is 60 Inches long while the slightly smaller model is 51 Inches long.

The larger model has a spatula head which is 5.9 Inches wide and 6.5 Inches long while the smaller variant has a spatula head which is 5.7 Inches wide and 6 inches long.

The wooden handle is 12 inches long on the larger model and 17 Inches on the smaller model. The wooden coating helps prevent the heat to reach your hands.

The main purpose of this utensil is to mix, spread and lift food items in a large Patila.

Iron (Punjabi: Sarabloh) is a preferred metal to use for utensils in Sikhism. It is believed that it helps reduce Iron deficiency in one’s body.

Since it is made of Iron, it is prone to get rusty over time, unless taken care of. Put some oil on it to create a layer between the surface and open air.

If any rust is found over time on this Spatula, it is Preferred to use Lemon syrup or Sand to rub for few times to clean it.

After wards apply a small amount of coconut oil to provide shiny look. This will act as Anti-corrosive.

1.      Wash the Spatula well with regular dish washing soap.

2.      Dry the Spatula Thoroughly.

3.      Lightly oil (Coconut) and heat the Spatula (The oil helps prevent rust)
